Please send me a Email telling me if you are arriving from Baltra Airport and on what airline, from a different Island, or after a boat cruise. An extra note: It is important to show up at the airport in Quito / Guayaquil 2 hours early to pay for your $20 USD tax as people are missing their flights When you first arrive in The Galapagos Islands you must have.

 

• $200 USD cash per person for the park entrance fee. They do not accept credit cards and there is no bank machines at the airport.

• Thank You for booking your time with the Galapagos Best Hostel. When you arrive at Baltra Airport you will get on a bus and be shuttled to a ferry dock. When you get off the ferry you have 2 options -- taxi or bus.

 

• 1 - Taxi) When you get off the ferry there will be taxi drivers asking you if you want to take a taxi. (taxis are unmarked small white club cab pick up trucks).

 

• Then wait for your luggage to be unloaded. The driver will help you with your luggage. The drivers only speak Spanish. So it is important that you have a prepared note with the following statement

 

• Barrio Escalesia, Calle Piqueros por la mecanica Gran Escape.

 

• When you turn down Piqueros street which will look like a dead end watch for the red and white house on left and there will be a sign stating GALAPAGOS BEST HOSTEL and your name on it.

 

• If you have a problem please feel free to ask the taxi driver to call me (Anna Maria) at the Hostel. Note there is no cell phone coverage after you leave the airport until you pass over the Highlands and enter the city of Bella Vista.

 

• 2 - Bus) Or you can take the bus The bus will take you to the center of town at the main bus stop. This is where all the travelers get off the bus. The driver will help you unload your bags.  After getting off the bus wave down a taxi and give the driver the prepared note stating our address:

 Barrio Escalesia, Calle Piqueros por la mecanica Gran Escape.

 

• When you turn down Piqueros street which will look like a dead end watch for the red and white house on the left and there will be a sign hanging on the gate stating GALAPAGOS BEST HOSTEL and your name on it.
